HELP transistor and diode circuits

    i need to construst a circuit using NPN transistors that will satisfy the conditions given :

    1. Vcc = 5V
    2. When A = 5V, B = 5V, x = 5v
    3. When A = 5V, B = 0V, x = 0v
    4. When A = 0V, B = 5V, x = 0v
    5. When A = 0V, B = 0V, x = 0v

    A&B are Vin's
    X is Vout

    |/
    B--|
    |\>

    i need to construct another circuit with the same conditions as above, but ising diodes this time, assume: voltage drop across diodes to be 0V.

    Hopefully you will have recognized the logic you require is for that of an AND gate.

    Trick is - what is transistor Q1 in the AAC circuit doing and since you won't have a transistor like that, what do you use in its place?

    Are you only allowed to use transistors for the exercise? How about resistors and diodes?

    There's heaps of stuff on the web about making simple gates .....
