I'm trying to make a small momentary buzzer circuit. I want i to be so that when it is powered on (9v), the buzzer will sound for 2 to 3 seconds and then shut off until the circuit is powered on again. Any ideas?

A 555 monostable timer circuit will do the job. The power stays on all the time, a button press will trigger the timer, sending power to your buzzer. Here's a good site for timer circuits:

Scroll down to the One-Shot Monostable circuit
