use a switch you need one.

 

Yes, I can use a switch.

 

Try to find a single pole double throw or 3 position switch and parallel your circuits so when you flip your switch one way that'll close one circuit and leave the other Open or "Off" Good luck

Are you supposed to do this without help? Anyway, should be simple enough... (hint: think in parallel lines...)
