i want to give a 3sec delay to my circuit using 555 timer ic i.e (1000) sequence,what configuration of 555 to make?? is it monostable or bistable?

 

So, you want the output to normally be high, then go low for 3 seconds when triggered before returning to high and stay there?

Or do you want it to keep alternating between high and low when triggered?
