A bit of background. I own a home theater install company. Recently my clients have asked me to install systems in there boats which is no problem. I have opened a Marine audio division of the company. What Im trying to do is make a switching system that sends 12 volt power form one marine head unit to another on a display board in my shop. What I would like to do is build a system similar to what you see in best buy and car audio shops. They have push button systems that selects the head unit when a button is pressed. Then all the other head units get no power. Each push button releases when another button is pushed and the button that has power is illuminated. I want to switch a total of 3-4 head units. I really have no idea where to start so any help would be appreciated.

 

In GUI (Graphical User Interface) they are called "radio buttons"

In hardware they are called "multiple station switches"
