Help in VB6

    hello everyone

    i am using vb6 to make a gui for a console application write in c++
    i am asking if i can call the exe of the c++ project and send to its main
    a string from textbox in form in vb6

    i can call the exe by sell function but i can't send to it any parameter
    shell(app.path & "\project.exe")

    can any one help me?

    Using piped commands and redirecting pipedinputstream ,pipedoutputstream is part of answer to this You will more than likely need to implement threads

    Attached is one such example that I wrote In VB to show how you can use the stock standard output from ipConfig and capture the console output In VB GUI making the use of the tool far easier

    Eg from a dos command ipconfig / all using a piped command in dos

    ipconfig /all >> ip.txt capture the output using a pipe command and populates a text file with the ip configuration of your NIC

    I'm also attaching a Java implementation for you to show you how this done and the full Vb coding so that you can see that you will need to use Windows API calls to achieve this
