help identifying a component

Hey all,
I blew the factory stereo in my car, this is the component that has blown
does anyone know what it is?
it had its own heatsink


its hard to make out the text, this is what i got
TOSHIBA
DA8276H

JAPAN

not too sure about the DA and the 7 part

Well, Toshiba has no record of such a device (and a very poor site).

That means that either you misread the device number - the DA8267H, or that the IC is made under contract specifically for that amp, and any information about the IC is considered as intellectual property. Effectively, that makes it a trade secret.

I think your part is a TA8276H, a 4 channel 35W audio amp
A google search on the part number throws up about 450 results for both data sheets and suppliers.

AlexR has hit on the key. I looked at the datasheet for the TA8276HQ and the package looks like a good match for the device pictured in the opening post.
