Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I am working on repairing my CCTV DVR. I have been removing capacitors and testing, but I can't figure out what this is... looks like a capacitor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing on the PCB. the part shows

hmm okay, dont know what those do, but a quick google search should do the trick. Anyway I can test them?

 

Yes, it is a coil of wire so the resistance will be very low.

 

I would say its a 100uH inductor.

 

Could also be 10uH.

And the dot sometimes denotes a polarised inductor, you can tell those because they are magnetised and will stick to a paperclip. They are mainly used in CRT TVs.
