Help identify this picture

    new guy here with something I cant seem to identify. My initial suspicion was that its a resistor of some sort?

    It is a tantalum smd capacitor
    477 = 470000000pF = 470μF
    And if the letter after 447 is A it is a max 10V cap.

    It has a band at one end, so maybe it's a diode.
    I cannot interpret the numbers.

    It has a band at one end, so it is a polarized capacitor to people who can interpret the numbers.

    Hashtag 12 is correct - it is a polarized tantalum capacitor.
