help identifing this

    Some call it a limit switch.

    awesome thanks. put my lighter up to it while running continuity and it opened the circuit. goona use them on my MOT arc welder tranformers

    I know them as Over-temp or thermal switches, a Limit switch to me means a Machine Over-travel switch.

    That's why I like for people to show where there are at. We always called them limit switches in this region.
    I have two in the firebox on the gas furnace and two in the electric dryer.
