Help finding an Engineer

Hello -
I have a product that I manufacture and sell. It was designed by a previously unemployed engineer. He did an excellent job and I was very
happy with the arrangement.
Because of part obsolescence we decided to redesign the circuit with a newer CPU - namely replace an MC68HC705J1A with a MC9S08AW16.
This redesign has been on the shelf for over 16 months - primarily because
he found a job. I have pleaded, begged to no avail.

Who, what, where should I look for to get this redesign back on track.

Any guidance would be extremely helpful.

If this is a one time deal, there are quite a few people signed up at sites like getafreelancer.com and rentacoder.com

I know a few people who take small jobs from those sites and do excellent work, mostly for "Money the wife doesn't know about".

With 1232 bytes of EPROM and 64 bytes of RAM I'm guessing that the application is written in assembly language. I figure about $10.00 per byte which comes to $12,320.00 over say 4-6 weeks
