I have a board that is producing a pwm signal.
in a section we have a astable circuit. an element on the board in this circuit is unknown. (Un element)
can you detect what is this?
I measure the capacitance of that is about 160pF.
what is its role in the circuit?
how the circuit begins to start?

You have rather blocked the view of the component with that white box, but it looks like a capacitor. If it reads, out of circuit, very high resistance and 160pF then it is fairly safe to say it is a 160pF capacitor.
