Loosewire, I saw your flare and showed up.

Here's one: You can have a new chicken out of a (fairly) old egg.

Ok, seriously now. Can you rephrase? I didn't get what you meant to say.

    Hi Jenniferleone. Welcome to AAC!

As Loosewire said, this is a warm, friendly site with a welcoming atmosphere. I hope you can find the answers here that you're looking for.

I am also a little confused about your question. Could you please rephrase it?

    Regards,
    Der Strom

    Welcome to AAC!

I never throw away an old floppy drive. I use the stepper motor for robotics motion control.

That's such a waste Mr Chips... Best use is turning them into a floppy orchestra!

    Welcome to the forums!

Nixie tubes were thought to be an obsolete display technology that at best had morphed into vacuum fluorescent displays, but now there's a big resurgence of interest in using them for hobby and aesthetic projects. Cold war Russian surplus seems to be one of the primary sources. I'm not sure if that's the kind of example you need but there it is.
