When I post a message, and come back after some time to check for replies, I find it hard to find my post amongst all the other posts in the forum.

Is it possible to have your own posts marked in some way?

Go to your "profile" by clicking on your user name "RFeng" ,then on your profile page select "Statistics" tab ,from their click "Find all posts by RFeng"

Or directly click on your user name "RFeng" and select "Find all posts by RFeng".

In many forums I visit, either my posts are marked or my username is highlighted next to my posts.

It would be more user-friendly that way than the way you suggested.

I don't think most folks have a problem. Have you noticed that posts you are in are marked with a broken arrow? Given you only have 9 posts, I don't think you are overwhelmed with these markers.
