    And is the Oath to uphold the Laws, or a Constitution, or ???

    An oath for anything I assumed. If one serves on a jury, they took an oath for that "temporary" duty.

    I'm sure Tbay took an oath for his office.

    I don't remember ever taking an oath, but I have repeatedly made the following pledge:

    "I Pledge Allegiance to the flag
    of the United States of America
    and to the Republic
    for which it stands,
    one Nation under God,
    indivisible,
    with liberty and justice for all."
