Yes the project is using an embedded LINUX device.
pervasive kit - is nice since it has a small PCB with the MAXII.
EINK display -> MAXII CPLD -> SPI -> Microcontroller -> PDF interpreter -> FAT32 filesystem -> SD card
Never had any means to try embedded LINUX, I'd do this if I asked for this at work, but for non-profit, I'd rather use different technology.
