Hi, I bought a HD and i was wondering if it was possible and if so how to connect it to my desktop pc and access it from my laptop. now my desktop connect's to a router wired and my laptop connect's wirelessly and then the router to my modem. now my desktop run's XP and my laptop run's Vista and i'm not sure if that will cause a problem

You can network them as dachkid says.

If you can find an older PC you can use it to share the drives on a network. I happen to have a pentium 133 with 32 megs I use as a webserver, file server and it does some intrusion monitoring. I was using a Pentium 90 think pad with 16megs. ;)
