Hi.

I would like to know if there is a device that:

1. reads a picture from an SD-card.
2. converts the image to an SSTV audio file.
3. operating on AA-batteries. No screen. Just some LEDs and some buttons.

The receiving end will be MMSSTV or Easypal.

If not: How can I make a device that does this?

I want a device that I can: 1. insert an SD-card, 2. wait for green LED, and 3. push send-button. Then the audio will come out on a small speaker.

I know someone has done it with a RaspBerry Pie and a Pie Cam.

 

I bought a Raspberry Pi and a Raspberry Pi Camera board.

With raspistill, PySSTV and omxplayer, I am able to do what I want. Next thing is to program the GPIO so that I can use buttons, instead of a keyboard.
