Hi all, Quick question. I am doing a Btec in electronics and one of the questions in the course work has me a little confused.

The text says
Figure 5.3 shows a MOSFET bridge driver circuit shown below.



The circuit above does not use MOSFETS does it ? they look like standard BJT's 2x NPN and 2x PNP

Its not essential to the question as they just want me to explain how it works, that's no problem. It was just for my own sanity that the diagram does not match the text.

Yes, those are BJT. They probably recycled the picture.

 

Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought and it makes no difference to my answers as they just need a description of how it drives the motor in either direction.

Its a bit poor for the Assignment papers to be wrong but there seems to be a few mistakes on this course.
