Good power design?

Hi guys,

I am working on my first electronics design and am looking for some tips. I have about 12V coming in from a battery and most of my circuit uses 3.3Vdc. The regulator converts the voltage to a 3.3Vdc out with 1.5A max output and is designed according to the spec sheet.

I have attached an image of my basic design. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

A 100uF on Vout is enough. You can flip the other 100uF to Vin though the datasheet wont specify them. Its acts good for heavy load regulation.

A simple choke is no better than a good cap. If chokes need to work good, they must be used in conjuction to capacitors, I dont remember how, read it sometims back on wiki abt rectifiers.
