Does anyone know a good place (other than overpriced radio shack)

I line in NE ohio, so if anyone has a secret little place that sells such things, do tell.

Maybe another option would be to just get a large batch of generic components that are used in almost every citcut from a large supplier.
    (basicly what radio shack has)

Well, maybe I'm just googling the wrong search terms...
I've been using "electrical component(s)" + distributor, supply, places to buy, etc

    Any ideas?

    Not all will send.

National Analog intsersill cypress linear and vishay all ways(most of the time) send me samples when I ask.

Circuit Specialists has some good buys, but limited stock. Same for Jameco. If you need anything at all, try Digi-Key or Newark Electronics.

All Electronics has an eclectic supply of components. The prices are fairly reasonable but don't expect to go back six months after you purchased a part from them and find more. They buy on the surplus market and once the batch of parts are gone it is unlikely that they will find more of the same exact part.

Still for the hobbiest/tinkerer, it is a good source of parts.
