i want to generate 24v dc with 1A from ac 230v. how can i generate this?
any direct ic available??

 

Get an adapter from or a battery isolator from ur local store.

 

Use a 230:24V step down transformer and rectify it to DC.

We are not supposed to discuss methods using SMPS to directly convert 230V to 24V DC without using a transformer for isolation.
Read the TOS if you're new.

Wall ward (power supplies that go into a socket) are really cheap, that is how I would do it.

 

Look on ebay. They sell tons of wall wart type converters, many are switchers which are very light and cheap.

How does $6 sound?
