hi there. i am a student. and my professor has asked us to do a essay on directory services. Directory Services (Active Directory,DEN,LDAP)

and i can find stuff on all three types (Active Directory,DEN,LDAP) but what is the relationship between the three? i can find alot on LDAP but not alot on DEN or Active Directory.

what's the connection between the two? if u were asked to do a paper on them, how would u start?

I think you need to do a bit more research on this.

Active Directory is Microsoft's implementation of an LDAP directory, so there is nothing really 'different' about them.

DEN refers to Directory Enabled Network. DEN uses an LDAP directory and is not a directory itself.

So, maybe you can begin your paper by pointing these relationships out.
