    Topic: Function Generator; Pulse Waveforms
Why does a pulse waveform with parameters 2.5Vpp and 1.25VDC offset give you a 5V pulse? Why can't 5.0Vpp give you a 5V pulse ? Thank you.

I would guess you're making the rather common mistake of operating your function generator into a high impedance. Your function generator probably has an output impedance of 50 ohms, so you should terminate the output with a 50 ohm resistance; then the output amplitude will read correctly. Some function generators let you tell them whether you're operating into a 50 ohm load or a high impedance load and thus let you have correct amplitude settings for either case (quite convenient and easy to do in firmware, as no hardware has to change).

Someonesdad, Thank you for assistance. Yes, that seems to be the problem. I red something similar on a website and I really wanted to confirm. Thank you for confirming the issue. I'll fix this. Have a great day.
