It should work, Im not sure where prctl is.

 

I think he means in" practical" and yes its just a light sensor and timer.

 

If remove the Bz1 and in series between c(Q1) and +V(bat) is better, and e(Q1) connecting to Ground.

Also you may need a small trim pot in series with R1 to do the adjustment for the sensitivity, and the R1 maybe need to reduce some values.
