Hi guys,

Im struggling finding a way to make this flyback work, (click here) Its supposed to deliver 28v, 500ma at 100 KHz.

The thing is, this flyback is used for led lightning so recommended controller has constant current control which ruins my design as I want to use it as a power supply which will have different loads.

I found this NCP1015 (data sheet) which is supposed to work at 100 KHz but duty cycle is off 67%, this means that I will get only 67% of flyback specs?.

Im not sure if Im making a good choice with this controller, Im looking for a controller to work with mains (220v AC), cost effective and easy to design if its possible (im new in SMPS designs).

Any advice is welcome.

The link is a pulse transformer,,,

Try the Uc3845 series, or make the circuit on the datasheet.

 

UC 38XX series is a best option and need great care while making the transformer and selecting the switching element.
