hi guys
Please help me with an equivalent Ic to HEF40244BP
its function is octal non-invertig buffers with 3-state outputs
this ic HEF40244BP used in SELCO M4100 unit as cylinder gas alarm system,and its data sheet is:

via internet searching i tried to install the HD74LS244P and 74LS244N but it isn't the corrective alternative ic
also unfortunately the required ic HEF40244BP not available in Egypt
plz suggest the equivalent ic or the equivalent set of ics
&
how i find tha equivalent electronics component?

What is the supply voltage for the chip. Your chip is a LOCMOS HE4000B series chip so it has quite different supply voltage range than say the 74LS244 type chip

More likely a 74HC244 - the LS part has rigid TTL voltage spec and huge current draw compared to the 4000 series one.

Maybe my fault, but I meant the supply voltage then the chip is in the circuit. That is of importance
