Hey everyone

I am looking at this ferrite core datasheet. i am looking at the R40 one.

Now I am using mini ring core calculator to calculate the number of turns require but when I select ferrite cores in the application I can not find R40 in the selection of ferrite core.

Help Please!!

You need the TDK/Epcos calculator MDT as your core is from Epcos.
It is freely available at the Epcos website.

cool got it and tested it, problem is with the wire calculation tab. It gives me an error regarding core input data. I noticed with my core the An and Ln values are missing. Can you assist with this please?

 

I never used this program for calculations myself, so I am not an expert.
At the bottom is a button called "calculate user data".
This may be helpful.
