Did anyone manage to see Falkland's Most Daring Raid last night?

Wow!

I knew about operation black buck, but this program really put across the extraordinary odds at which all these aircrew faced!

My favourite part was that in order to fix the refueling system (which hadn't been used for 20 years), parts were salvaged from scrapyards - one vital component was being used as an ash tray in the crewroom!

Seriously, if you've got some spare time, watch it here:

I too watched it and what a great program! I find the fact that 13 (I think) refuelling planes were needed to get a single Vulcan bomber to the Falklands. The longest bombing mission in history!

Sorry, I didn't realise Americans can't watch it... :(

But yeah, amazing what they managed to do with so little. They had no maps of the South Atlantic, so they took a map of the northern hemisphere and turned it upside down!

Quite comparable to Apollo 13, I think.

Didn't work for me, since I am out of country. Reading the terms of service they state the UK and Ireland only, so I am surprised it worked for you.

It was first shown on Sunday. That's probably why. :)

I would also assume that most of it would be BBC programs?

Discovery channel sometimes has some UK shows.
National Geographic shows some UK content as well like Britain's Greatest Machines with Chris Barrie.
