Hello,

I am having a problem finding the value of U in the circuit below, using the Norton-Thévenin method.

Maybe I could get some suggestions on how to go about simplyfying it?
The voltage on U is supposed to be 8V, according to the simulation in LTSpice.

This is not homework, but I want to learn.

It often helps to redraw the circuit in a more conventional form, with the resistor you are finding the voltage across draw on the outside of the circuit, if possible.

Aslo, since you know you are supposed to use equivalent sources, look are sources in the circuit that, along with a suitable resistor, can be transformed and then combined with other components.

Above all, show your work so that we have something to discuss.
