I stay in India and I get TV reception from analogue cable TV at home. I want to use the My 20" AOC monitor as TV. Can any suggest me a tuner card. i don't want my PC to be ON.

Secondly i heard that by December 2014, analogue cable TV reception will be stopped, so i want a device which is compatible with both analogue as well as digital signals.

 

haupage makes tuner cards for this. although you probably need a pc, some have video and audio outputs tha will feed a video monitor.

I think that is a hurdle. That means the device containing the tuner must also contain a video processor that can produce a signal for your monitor. I'm not aware of such a thing. There are many TV tuners for PCs, or tuners for use with a regular TV (for instance a digital tuner for an analog TV), but I have not seen one for use with a naked monitor. The exception is a digital tuner with an HDMI output that can be directly connected to a monitor with HDMI input. Nice, but not cheap.
