Hi all,

I want to connect a Logitech C920 webcam 40m away from my laptop. Since the maximum USB length is approx 5m, I was planning to use a Manhattan USB Line Extender. Will this method affect the quality of the webcam video?
Also, if I connect a USB hub to connect both the webcam and a professional microphone (instead of the webcam mic), will it affect the picture quality of the camera?

Not sure about a webcam but several years ago I used extenders like those for a Kodak camera and they worked fine.

It looks like the extender converts the signal to ethernet signals.
(Though I can not find it in the descriptions, but of the looks).
Maximum segment lenghts for ethernet are 100 meters:
