I need to change something in the circuit of the detector to get reverse phase in the output of the detector



My idea is to change the direction of the diode, Am I right? (I mean that the v_in(t) will enter to the cathode)

 

First question is -- "can the + input go below the - input". If not you'll get nothing. Even if it can, I'm not sure you'll get what you expect

He means to say that the output depends on the nature of your input.

For the wave above you will get always zero voltage as output as the diode always remains off.

But in this case you will get what you want that is reversed output.
