    Hi,
    I am new to this.
I have a 2 way speaker system. There are push button switches to control base Tribble and volume. I want to control these switches externally may be via a GPIO pins from my Raspberry Pi. I am thinking to solder two wires per switch and connect transistor switch and drive it through GPIO. But I don't know how to deal with switching a secondary circuit from a primary circuit.
    Please advice. Thanks.

Watch out for tribbles! If they get into the electrics you'll be up to your neck in tribbles in no time!

As for hooking into the buttons on you HiFi and connecting them to your Rasberry Pi, that might not be easy. The buttons could be matrixed. Two small relays are probably the best and safest way.

Groan! Not to say that I wasn't tempted to make this same joke.
