I am a student who wants to make an electrical timer on a 5 by 5 frame. I was wondering if I could make a circuit making a small electric standard motor stop.
Can you please give a list of materials I could pick up at radio shack and a blueprint of the circuit.

welcome to the forum. btw, your post is a bit hard to read, can you provide more info. for example 5 x 5 what? meter? what does motor have to do with a timing circuit? do you expect motor motion to represent unit of time? this would be hard to adjust without using PWM.

is the car some battery powered toy that moves around and stops when it finds "home"? or you just need it to run certain time and stop? did you consider 555 timer?

If you want to use a motor for a timer, try harvesting one from a discarded washer or dryer.
