i have a problem with a conveyor motor not coming on. I checked the power from the switch gear 120v's going out all day long. And I checked the power at the switch...40votls ac?? I disconnected the wiring from the motor and in the switch gear and meged the motor. All is good with the motor and the thermal over load isnt tripped within the motor. But I still dont have the power coming back to the handswitch (hands off automatic). only 40 volts there. The wiring is also going thru two more emergency stop switches, but I'm having problems with the drawing symbols.......what is a (C) inside a octagan symbol and also a D in the inside the same symbol?

Can you post a copy of the diagram your working with?

Those inside an octogon could relate to some note or testpoint data. There should be an explaination of the odd symbols used on a print.
