Hey guys,

I'm looking for a software which will enable me to draft out the wiring layout for the lighting design of a building. I need to calculate voltage drops, derating factors, model home runs and loops, etc. I assumed AutoCAD Electrical would be best for this, but haven't found anything specific. The only thing I found was Design Master Electrical - <snip> - which looks perfect, but I wanted to get peoples input on the best and most professional software out there for this. Thanks.

i have a friend from college who is in that exact field professionally - and he says autoCAD is the leading software out there for that type of work.

i will double check with him and re-post if necessary.
