Hi, I am in the process of building a ECG front end circuit. I will be using lead wires and electrodes as shown in the picture. I picked up these wires from an old box and so I have no idea where they come from but having the clip to attach to the Ag/AgCl electrode I assume they are appropriate for ECG use.

My first question is what kinda connector interface I need to use to connect the cable to a prototyping board? The opposite end of the electrode, the cylindircal connector.

Second question, apart from the Right leg circuit, what other precautions can I take so I the circuit is completely safe. I plan to use a low supply voltage of +-5 but I still think that even a small current travelling from the instrumentation amplifier to the leads can be dangerous.
