Hello, I have a project that needs a TRIAC, or AC Transistor, and I want to know, what household items (like a Wall Wart? or something of that nature) uses a TRIAC, which I can pull out of it to use.

It hardly seems that it's worth the effort but light dimmers and certain ceiling fan controls contain Triacs.

 

It will be a waste of time if the TRIAC is not rated for the voltage and power you need.
