I need a DPDT switch for a 10A/12VDC circuit, but Radio Shack (The Source) doesn't seem to carry DPDT switches that are higher than 6 Amp. I was wondering how problematic will it be, if I use a 6A/125VAC DPDT Switch, on a 10A/12VDC circuit?

The circuit will definitely not draw more than 10 amp.

You should use a properly rated switch.. You are risking a fire,etc...

Go to an auto parts store for high current DC switches.

True. I got a 12V, 40A relay from Discount Auto Parts a couple of weeks ago.
