Hello everyone in the forum. I want to know about the domains and their registration. Which is the best available source of domain available from where we can get domain easily and where its transfer is easily done without any hurdle. Tell me if some one knows.

It may help to know which country are you in and what top level domain are you considering buying (.com, .net, .co.uk, etc)?

I prefer .com domain because it looks more attractive smart.

ICANN (International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) has an informational page on the process - ICANN. Some items of note, is that the registrar may charge a fee for transfer. Also, there is a 60 day waiting period for a transfer after initial registration or prior transfer. Note that the process of transferring is defined by ICANN and as such is mostly uniform across registrars.

    Hope this link is useful.
