I have been looking around, but I have not found what I was looking for. I'm looking for a weight sensor. If I have set the sensor for 500 grams and I put a box with a weight of 500 grams on it, it will give some response. I will be connection this to a microcontroller.

Google Strain Gauges. You can also do it with a micro switch/spring setup, some fabrication required.

+ you need an excitation voltage, and an amplifier, could be a simple Opamp differential amplifier or instrumentation amplifier.

 

You can also do it with a micro switch/spring setup, some fabrication required.

Some people get around the fabrication by repurposing a commercially available kitchen scale.

Your best ALL ELECTRONIC approach is to use a strain gauge. Omega instruments has a wide variety.
