Do batteries in Parallel form last longer?? Or do they drain just as fast as batteries in series.

Like would i gain anything if i had 1 series of 4 AA batteries (total v=6) and I connected that in Parallel Form to another series of 4 AA batteries (total v=6). If that's possible.:confused:

You would have roughly twice the current capacity.

Be careful though; you should not mix new and old batteries. If you are going to connect batteries in series/parallel, you should replace them all at the same time, preferably with new batteries from the same manufacturer that all came out of the same package.

If you mix batteries, you could wind up with a situation where the more "fresh" batteries tried to charge the older, more discharged batteries. This would not be a good thing.
