Most threads are separated by a horizontal line. Some threads are not, like the ninth and tenth threads here (Solar panels and This is conventional...). Why?

Using Firefox 3.0.16 and Windows XP. Adjusting size (ctrl +) doesn't help.

Hello,

What is your screen size?
What is the maximum resolution of the monitor?
When screen size and monitor resolution do not match this kind of stuff can happen.

Greetings,

Monitor = Samsung 213T, 21"
Video card = GeForce 6800/256MB
Refresh = 60 Hz
Resolution (as set) = 1024x768 (I'm too old to read anything smaller)
Max resolution = 1600x1200 (I think), maybe 1280x1024

It is an old system, agreed, and is used only for the Internet. It was brought to light by a revision ("upgrade") on another forum that really is now hard to read.

On AAC, it doesn't even rise to the level of an annoyance. I brought it up as maybe something with a simple cure. Thanks for the input. I will try increasing the resolution. I just don't like to wear my reading glasses, so will probably leave it the way it is.

Hello,

Of course you can use the max resolution and set the DPI to an other value in the display settings.

Increasing resolution and changing the font to 200% works for making the line always present, but the cure is not worth the pain of getting everything else reset to how I like it. Thanks for the help and solution.

Hello,

I have a kind of "inbetween" solution.
I use a 19" monitor with a 17" monitor resolution.
The dots are larger of theis iiyama ProLite E481S.
The resolution I use is 1280 X 1024.

Greetings,

I switched to a used 19" flatscreen because the resolution was so much better.

Recently I switched to Firefox because I got tired of Micro Soft pushing their latest IE.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but I suspect it might.
