Discrete Fourier Transform

    I am trying to calculate the discrete fourier transform but for some strange reason my answer is a bit different from the one l get from matlab. I am l doing it the right way ?

    The answer l get is 4 4 4 4 which doesn't make sense.

    Well we know that [4 4 4 4] would be the FFT of a delta function at the origin, [4 0 0 0], so that cannot be correct.

    Looking at x[1], what does exp(-j*2pi*(1)(1)/4) evaluate to?
