I am looking for a design for a 250watt stereo amplifier for a disco type environment. Any ideas would be appreciated.

In about 1981 I measured 120dB in a disco. It was mostly the bass beat that was that loud but it didn't seem too loud.

your best bet is with a pro amp. consumer amps are too fragile to work in that kind of environment.

 

Analog Devices has some tiny IC's that can provide 20W for an audio amplifier...It's amazing that they can provide so much power.
