iam working over a project about ac to ac converter. I need to rectify the ac to dc. The load iam going to connect is a ceiling fan. (1 phase induction motor). Idont know the current rating of the fan. Which diodes i have to use to construct a bridge rectifier. I need the number of that diode.

The fan won't need more than 100W. But you haven't stated the voltage or any other ratings. So to be safe try 6A4 Diode. It can stand upto 400vrms and 6Amps.
