Hi all, new in town,
I am wanting to setup an rfid module with 12vdc output. I am told the automotive relays are to much for the module and will eventually burn it out. I am advised to use a 5a pc relay because of its lower power and use that to power the automotive relay.
so for the diode protection I have been advised to use a 1N914 by one and a 1N4001-4007 from another dude. I need a tie breaker opinion.
On another note, the rfid is a momentary pulse, anyone know how I can activate the relay so it stays on with just one pulse? for security reasons I would need to rest the system when power is turned off so it cannot be powered up again without the rfid recognition. (I am thinking a secondary rocker or toggle switch)
Thanks All.....
