Hello everyone, this is my first post in allaboutcircuits.com or any forum for that matter. Forums seem like a great way to learn, so I’m going to stick around awhile to see what it’s all about. As of right now I’m trying to come up with a very simple digital transmitter and receiver. I was thinking something like high frequency low frequency transmission to represent binary 1’s and 0’s. Does anyone know of any resources to go about designing such a circuit or have any ideas? Thanks!

It's called FSK. Frequency shift keying. Start with googling that.

    Depends on your transmission medium.
Are we talking about long wire, twisted pair, RF, IR, fibre optics, etc.?
    Google Manchester code.

Thanks! I didn't know it was called FSK, so I will give that a try in google. I was thinking by RF.
