Guess the only sure way to know is to test it to its limits...I applied the code given by the seller and all the options are enabled but the model changed to DS1104Z.

But I like the part that it says 100Mhz Bandwidth !...Is this now a 100Mhz one ?
Or maybe the seller made a mistake?The DS1052e and 1054Z are both 50MHz scopes, but use the exact same hardware as the 100MHz models. A software hack is used to upgrade.
You say the seller gave you the code to do this? Can't be a legitimate seller then....
No legitimate seller would tell you how to hack the device.
